Terms of Use
Last updated: 14 September 2026
1. Licence
Pacifier is distributed through the App Store. Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA) applies. The same document is linked inside the app under “Settings → Terms of use”, so the two cannot drift apart.
2. Purchases and cancellation
Pacifier is free for 30 hand-offs. After that you can choose a one-time purchase (Lifetime) or a monthly subscription. Billing, renewal and cancellation are handled entirely through your App Store account; a subscription renews automatically until you cancel it there, at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple.
3. What Pacifier does — and what it doesn't
Pacifier applies Apple's Screen Time shield so that only the apps you allow stay open during a hand-off. The shield is enforced by the operating system and holds even if the app is force-quit.
Being straight with you: Pacifier is not a substitute for supervision. Super Safe Mode uses Apple's Guided Access, which you start yourself — Pacifier explains it but cannot turn it on for you on a normal device. No app can force notification previews to hide; we walk you through the setting instead. Where the system sets limits, we say so rather than paper over them.
4. Warranty and liability
Statutory provisions apply, supplemented by the terms of the Apple EULA linked above. We are liable for damages in accordance with statutory rules; any liability beyond that is excluded.
5. Provider
Nuancebit GmbH, Brahmsstraße 4, 37085 Göttingen, Germany. Full details in the imprint. German law applies.
